The Puppeteer, also known as the Marion or Marionetteer, is an enemy from Final Fantasy IV. It always appears with several Puppets. It is no threat by itself, though it should be taken out as quickly as possible before destroying the Puppets so it cannot summon any more.
Alternatively, the Puppeteer can also provide the party with subsequent amounts of EXP and gil by not attacking it and constantly letting it summon Puppets and having the party kill them to their heart's content, as Puppets hand out about 800 EXP each.
