Template:Sideicon Template:FFXIII-2 Enemies The Pulsework Soldier is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII-2. It does not take much damage from attacks until staggered, so it is recommended that the player change Paradigms to include one or more Ravagers in order to drive the chain gauge up quickly.

Paradigm Pack

As with many tamed creatures, the name "Pulsework Soldier" is too long, and so it gets shortened to "Pulse Soldier" when tamed. The Pulse Soldier is a Sentinel. Its stat development begins very slow. Its stats increase rapidly between levels 20 and 30, before slowing down again. Its skillset development is similarly erratic, learning most of its abilities between levels 10 and 20, and does not learn any more beyond that.

The Pulse Soldier will have a maximum HP of around 5,000 if given Vitality materials, which is poor compared to other monster Sentinels. However it halves damage incurred by physical and magical attacks and gains more passive resistance against physical attacks during its development, putting it more on a par with other Sentinels with higher HP.

It is less suitable than the Pulsework Knight for the purposes of giving the hidden Curaja ability to Medics, as it also passes on two Passive Abilities. A total of 99 levels of Sentinel are required, in the form of five at level 20, or six at level 17, etc. Template:XIII-2 Monster
