Protect Vest is a moderately useful accessory for the time it is acquired, as accessories are sparse early on, and it provides a marginal boost to the user's Vitality, letting them reduce damage from physical attacks. Once the player is able to obtain more valuable accessories, such as elemental- or status-protection accessories, the Protect Vest's value drops dramatically. The player can use Guard Sources to boost Vitality permanently.
