Propagator is a Triple Triad card in Final Fantasy VIII used to play the minigame and for turning into items with Quezacotl's Card Mod. Propagator is the sixty-seventh card in the inventory and the first Level 7 card. It depicts Propagator, a boss fought aboard the Ragnarok. There are four colors of Propagator, but the one on the card is the red variant.

Propagator good values for a Level 7 card, having two 8s and two 4s. It is great for securing a corner, as NPC card players rarely can beat an 8 without special rules. Its value placements may also be useful for games that use Same and/or Plus. It is a mirror of the Jumbo Cactuar.

Obtain[]

There is a 6.3% chance to get an Propagator card when successfully using the Card command on Blitz or a Mesmerize.

Any AI Triple Triad player who uses Level 7 cards has a chance of using Propagator in a play, from where the player can win it in a card match. One such card player is CC Heart of the Card Club. In the end of the game, all CC members besides Jack and Club will play with Level 7 cards when aboard the Ragnarok if the player completed the CC quest before the point of no return.

Card Mod[]

A Propagator card refines into a G-Mega-Potion with Quezacotl's Card Mod ability. It is used to heal 1000 HP to all of the player's Guardian Forces. However, GFs gain HP over time by just walking around the field, so the player doesn't necessarily need to heal them. Even if not so useful for card modding purposes, it is still good to collect the card for playing the minigame itself.
