Final Fantasy Wiki

Poison is an element in Final Fantasy V.

It is mostly associated with the poison and sap statuses, as poison-elemental abilities often attempt to inflict either. However, the HP damage due to poison ticks and sap is not poison-elemental.

Elemental booster[]

The following abilities and pieces of equipment boost poison-elemental damage:

In particular, the A parameter of the relevant damage formula is increased by 50%. Since the boost is applied to A (as opposed to M), the effect on the actual damage is higher than +50%, unless the target's magic defense (or defense for physical spells) is 0.

Elements can be boosted only once (i.e. the above methods do not stack).
