Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry
The Pluto Armor, formerly called PlutoArmor and PlutArmr, is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI fought in the Dreamscape.
Stats[]
Battle[]
If alone, they may use Launcher. Their attack script contains counterattacks for Attack commands as well, but since the party cannot use the Attack command when fighting them while in Magitek Armor, its counters are not a danger. If the player encounters them on the Veldt, they counterattack with Launcher or Metal Cutter when hit by the Attack command.
Strategy[]
Since it is encountered while the party is piloting Magitek Armor, it is not a threat. Thunder Beam and Terra's Magitek Missile work well.

Etymology[]
Pluto was the ruler of the underworld in classical mythology. The earlier name for the god was Hades, which became more common as the name of the underworld itself. In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Pluto represents a more positive concept of the god who presides over the afterlife.
