The Player Tsviet is the playable character in the Multiplayer Mode of Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-. The character's name is never given, and the gender is chosen by the player. Player Tsviet was kidnapped into the service of Deepground and then had their memory erased. Now they are being placed under intense training to become a member of the Tsviets. The Player Tsviet is haunted by visions of his/her sister and her violent death.
Even though the Player Tsviet is the central character of the Multiplayer Mode, they never once get a chance to speak. Typically most of the action takes place during the Player Tsviet's first-person perspective, but they are seen several times during the story.
Story[]
Years before Dirge of Cerberus, Deepground is ruled by the cruel Restrictors rather than the Tsviets. Under the leadership of Weiss the Immaculate, the Tsviets plot a revolt, but their powers are restricted by computer chips placed in their brains. Shelke the Transparent uses her Synaptic Net Dive to break into the mind of the Player Tsviet. Fake memories are implanted into their mind, making the Tsviet think they had a younger sister who was killed by the Restrictor. Shelke creates a holographic SOLDIER guide named Usher who leads the Player Tsviet on their way to overthrowing the Restrictor.
The Player Tsviet is placed under the guidance of Officer - East. They descend into the cruel world of Deepground training, which consists of violent combat against other candidates and later the Tsviets themselves. After many missions, the Player Tsviet is made a full member of the Tsviets, but is not given a color. The Restrictor orders the Player Tsviet to take part in a training exercise with Weiss. Despite being held back by restraints, Weiss defeats the Player Tsviet and then Rosso the Crimson and Azul the Cerulean at once.
While the Tsviets are gathered together, they decide to attack the Restrictor at once. The Restrictor is still too strong and defeats them. The Player Tsviet attacks the Restrictor, hoping to avenge their "sister". They are badly wounded, but Weiss gets his chance to kill his oppressive master. With the Restrictor gone, the Tsviets are free to rule Deepground, but things do not go as well for the Player Tsviet.
Shelke reveals that all the Player Tsviet was doing was an illusion, and there never was a sister. The Player Tsviet's mind breaks because of the exposure to the Synaptic Net Dive process. The Tsviets leave the room, with the Player Tsviet lying on the ground, crushed emotionally and physically. Their fate is unknown, but it is presumed the Player Tsviet is killed.
