Platinum Helm (プラチナヘルム, Purachina Herumu?, lit. Platina Helm), also known as Platina Helm and Opal Helm, is a recurring helmet in the series. It is part of the platinum equipment set.

Description

Platinum Helm is a high-ranked helmet that provides 23 Defense, halves Ice-elemental damage, and teaches Restore HP and Stone Killer. It can be bought for 4,600 gil at Bran Bal and Daguerreo (endgame), and can be equipped by Steiner and Freya.

Final Fantasy XII[]

In the original version, Platinum Helm is a high-ranked helmet that requires the Heavy Armor 7 license to equip, and provides 31 Magick Defense and +8 Strength. It can be bought for 9,300 gil at Archades and Balfonheim Port, drop from Wood Toad (3% chance), and from the bazaar "Platinum Gear" set.

In the Zodiac versions, Platinum Helm now provides 35 Magick Resist and requires the Heavy Armor 8 license for 65 LP. It can be bought in Archades and Balfonheim Port, found as a treasure in Tchita Uplands (Uazcuff Hills), drops by Wood Toad (3% chance), and is made in the bazaar for 9,800 gil after selling Insect Husk x2, Tanned Giantskin x5, and Storm Magicite x6. It can be equipped by the Uhlan, Knight, Time Battlemage, Foebreaker, Red Battlemage, and Black Mage.

Final Fantasy Tactics[]

Platinum Helm is a mid to high-ranked helmet that provides +90 HP. It can be bought for 8,000 gil at an Outfitter after Walled City of Yardrow or found as rare treasure at Lake Poescas.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

Platinum Helm is a level 60 helmet that provides +236 Bravery, +1 Defense, and Chase BRV Defense +5%. It can be obtained from the shop by trading 53,020 gil, Barbut, Gagazet Steel, and Hero's Dream x5.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius[]

A brilliant helmet made from platinum. The weight of the platinum proved to be a nuisance to many craftsman. In particular, helms are worn on the head, so the weight adds a load to the neck that brought many complaints as travelers donning these helmets found themselves at risk, even outside of battle. But in recent years, the very toil and efforts of craftsmen finally made the helmet light enough to use.

Description

Platinum Helm is a Helm obtained by buying it for 12,000 gil at City of Trials Dendalio and Town of Desolation Visectrum, and finding it at Dragon's Village. It provides 31 DEF.

Etymology[]

Platinum is a chemical element with the chemical symbol Pt and an atomic number of 78. Its name is derived from the Spanish term platina, which is literally translated into "little silver".
