Pirate Hat (パイレットギア, Pairetto Gia?) is a recurring helmet in the Final Fantasy series. It is generally a mid-ranked hat that provides average defenses and nothing else.

Final Fantasy XII[]

In the original version, the Pirate Hat is a mid-ranked light armor helmet that provides +230 HP and 23 Magick Resist. It can be bought for 4,000 gil at Rabanastre, Nalbina Fortress, and Mt Bur-Omisace, and requires the Light Armor 6 License to equip.

In the Zodiac versions, the Pirate Hat now provides 25 Magick Resist, +230 HP, and requires the Light Armor 6 license for 40 LP. It can be bought in Mt Bur-Omisace and Mosphoran Highwaste for 4,000 gil, stolen from Facer (rare) and Ring Wyrm (uncommon) during Trial Mode Stage 18, and found in Trial Mode Stage 81 (with Diamond Armlet). It can be equipped by Machinist, Monk, Archer, and Shikari.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates[]

Pirate Hat is a mid-ranked helmet (best helmet in Normal Mode) only for Selkies that provides 2 Attack, 34 Defense, and 2 Magic. It can be crafted with the use of the Sailing Headwear scroll.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time[]

Pirate Hat is a high-ranked helmet (best helmet in Normal mode) once again only for Selkies that provide 30 Defense, +20 against Spacetime, and 2 slots. The Pirate Hat scroll is dropped by Mimic (Gate; Normal) and found in a chest in Tower (Normal). It costs 320 to craft with Black Gold x2, Black Silver x2 and Black Feather x2.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

Pirate Hat is a level 60 headband that provides +227 HP and +20 Bravery. It can be obtained from the shop by trading 35,240 gil.
