I will usher you into the next world...
Phantom Train
The Phantom Train is a boss in the Dawn of Souls version of the original Final Fantasy. Unlike in the original Phantom Train fight of Final Fantasy VI, where the party was running away from the Phantom Train approaching from the right, Phantom Train is now stationary and appears on the left side of the screen, like all other bosses.
Due to the game mechanics, it's not possible to kill Phantom Train in one hit in Dawn of Souls. In Dawn of Souls, unlike Final Fantasy VI, it is not possible to use Phoenix Downs or curative spells on enemies. However, being undead, the Phantom Train is very weak against Dia spells.
The Phantom Train has a very minor effect to the storyline: citizens of the village are under a spell. Defeating the Phantom Train will release them from the spell, and allow the party to proceed to the next level of the Whisperwind Cove.
