Persona 5 Royal (ペルソナ5 ザ・ロイヤル, Perusona 5 Za Roiyaru?), alternatively known as P5R and called Persona 5: The Royal in Japan, is a role-playing video game developed by Atlus' P-Studio and an enhanced version of the previously released Persona 5 video game, making it the overall sixth game in the Persona video game series, which is in itself a spin-off of the more widely known Megami Tensei role-playing video game series primarily developed by Atlus and currently owned by Sega.
Persona 5 Royal is featured in the Final Fantasy series as part of a collaboration with War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius which debuted in the game's Japanese version in December 12th of 2021, introducing several characters, Vision Cards, and equipment related to the game. The collaboration is noteworthy for being the rare case of an initiative that doesn't involve a franchise owned or related to Square Enix. It is also the overall second video game collaboration in the Final Fantasy Exvius Universe to have this trait, after Monster Hunter in 2016 in the Japanese version of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.
