Penelo is a playable group leader in Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, in command with a troupe of Yarhi. Penelo's job is a hybrid of White Mage and Dancer, using White Magick. She cannot physically harm enemies, as her normal action is to cure nearby allies.

Since she can send healing magick from afar, she is classified as a ranged unit, though she can cast Holy, which is her only means of attacking. Penelo's Quickening, Dance of Rapture, fully restores the HP for all allies and removes all debuffs. It is obtained by defeating Ultima.

Penelo is available almost since the beginning alongside Vaan, Filo, and Kytes. Aboard the Galbana, she cooks, sometimes writes in the logbook, and takes care of the notice board. Talking to her at different points in the game in the Sky Saloon unlocks several new missions on the notice board, such as "Mission 73: Just for Penelo", available once Ivalice proper is visitable.
