Penelo (Final Fantasy XII party member)

Penelo is a playable character in Final Fantasy XII whose stat growth favors magick use; out of the playable characters, Penelo has potentially the highest MP, and at level 99 has the highest Magick Power, tied with Ashe. Penelo has the lowest HP growth and Strength, but her Vitality is high and Speed is average.

Any stat differences can be made up with gear and the differences in animation speed are negligible. Penelo can be built in any way without drawbacks.

When Penelo joins the party for the first time, her level and LP are calculated with the first formula, and the second formulas are used when she joins permanently.

Penelo's Quickenings are Intercession, Evanescence, and Resplendence. After winning a boss battle the currently alive members of the active party perform a victory pose depending on what weapon they are equipped with.

Quests[]

Vaan and penelo at giza — Penelo joins in the nomad village.

Penelo joins Vaan in the nomad village on the Giza Plains and helps him charge a sunstone there. Her joining is an introduction to the gambit system. She leaves the party as the player returns to Rabanastre, and will not join again until on the Dreadnought Leviathan, where she joins permanently, and her level and LP are re-adjusted to scale with the rest of the party. She can be used as the party leader on the overworld and inside dungeons, but only Vaan is controllable in settled areas.
