Eorzea was destroyed by a force of unimaginable power raining down from the sky. It is the dawn of a new age!
The following is a list of Paladin Quests from Final Fantasy XIV version 1.0.
Paladin's Pledge[]
- Journal
- Lulutsu of the Coliseum has given you some interesting news. For the first time in their history, the elite of the Sultansworn are prepared to teach the secret arts of the paladin to outsiders. If you wish to learn these skills, seek out the captain of the Sultansworn elite. His name is Jenlyns, and he can be found near the Royal Promenade, in Ul'dah's Hustings Strip.
- You have spoken to Jenlyns, captain of the Sultansworn. He is prepared to teach you the paladin skills, but only after you have proven yourself worthy. To that end, he tells you to travel to a way station called the Coffer & Coffin in western Thanalan, and thence head south to face the undead monsters that infest the area.
※ Up to three party members may accompany you. (Recommended)
- As you finish off the last of the monsters, you are approached by a free paladin. He hands you a strange crystal and asks that you give it to Captain Jenlyns. Report back to Jenlyns at his station near the Royal Promenade, in Ul'dah's Hustings Strip.
※ The next paladin quest will be available from Jenlyns upon reaching level 35.
Honor Lost[]
- Journal
- Jenlyns tells you that the elite of the Sultansworn have lost the respect that their good name once commanded, and the main reason is the theft of the sword Oathkeeper by a traitor. Jenlyns is hoping that your skills in battle will help him recover the sword, which has been passed down through generations of Sultansworn captains. To that end, he pledges to teach you more paladin skills and assigns a new task. You are to find and defeat the alux beast that lurks in the Mun-Tuy Cellars of the North Shroud.
※ It is recommended that three party members accompany you.
※ The next paladin quest will be available from Jenlyns upon reaching level 40.
Power Struggles[]
- Journal
- You learn from Jenlyns that the traitor who stole the sword Oathkeeper is named Solkzagyl, and that he was a Sultansworn captain for thirty long years. The recovery of the sword will be very difficult, and Jenlyns pledges to teach you more of the paladin arts to prepare you for the fight. In order to properly hone your new skills, Jenlyns commands you to go to lower La Noscea and defeat the giant crab king, Old Six-arms.
※ It is recommended that three party members accompany you.
※ The next paladin quest will be available from Jenlyns upon reaching level 45.
Poisoned Hearts[]
- Journal
- Jenlyns has uncovered archived records that point to a link between Solkzagyl and a faction within the Syndicate known as the Monetarists. While he continues his search for the missing traitor, Jenlyns asks you to recover the four pieces of the gallant armor. They can be found in these locations:
- Aurum Vale, west of Camp Ever Lakes in the Coerthas central lowlands.
- Natalan, east of Camp Dragonhead in the Coerthas central highlands.
- A cave north of Camp Brittlebark, in Mor Dhona.
- A cave northeast of Camp Crimson Bark, in the West Shroud.
※ The next paladin quest is now available from Jenlyns.
Parley on High Ground[]
- Journal
- Through intermediaries, Jenlyns has arranged a parley with Solkzagyl in order to negotiate the return of Oathkeeper. However, the meeting could be a trap, and Jenlyns has asked you to accompany him. The parley will be held on high ground in the northeast of Ul'dah.
※ Up to seven party members may accompany you. (Recommended)
- When you arrive at the parley, Jenlyns suddenly turns his sword against you and accuses you of being in league with Solkzagyl and the Monetarists. You have no time to explain or persuade him otherwise—if you want to live, your only choice is to fight Jenlyns and his soldiers.
※ Up to seven party members may accompany you. (Recommended)
※ The next paladin quest will be available from Jenlyns upon reaching level 50.
Keeping the Oath[]
- Journal
- Jenlyns has learned that he was an unwitting dupe of the Monetarists. But although his captaincy is a sham, he will use what power he has to strike back at the cabal. For the showdown, he has chosen an area southeast of Camp Bluefog, but he commands you to stay away and find a safe haven. What you do next is up to you and your conscience.
※ Up to seven party members may accompany you. (Recommended)
- When you arrive at the battleground that Jenlyns has chosen to launch his campaign against the cabal, you find him and Solkzagyl facing off against the Monetarists' monster cohort. Help them fight off the attackers.
※ Up to seven party members may accompany you. (Recommended)
- You have defeated the monsters sent by the Monetarists. Solkzagyl leaves the Sultansworn in Jenlyns's hands and returns to his paladin's journey. Return to Ul'dah, find Jenlyns at his station near the Royal Promenade in the Hustings Strip, and talk to him once more.
