FFRK Overkill

Overkill in Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

Overkill (オーバーキル, Ōbākiru?) is a recurring Limit Break-type ability in Final Fantasy series.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy XI[]

Overkill is the Ranger SP2 ability. Ranged attack speed is greatly increased and Double Shot or Triple Shot is guaranteed for 60 seconds. It can be recast every 1 hour.

Originally in Final Fantasy XI, the Ranger SP2 ability was intended to be Instinctive Aim (イネイトエイム, Ineito Eimu?, lit. Innate Aim), which would have allowed ranged attacks to be treated as if made from the optimal distance from the target regardless of the player's actual distance, as well as prevented arrows from being consumed during the effect.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto[]

Overkill is an ability Prompto can use to finish off vulnerable Imperial Riflemen, Imperial Snipers and Battery Soldiers. Not only does Overkill instantly kill the enemy, it also allows Prompto to steal their weapon, and use it himself.

In Royal Edition, Prompto uses Overkill to stagger The Rogue in a cutscene, before finishing her off with three Crackshots.
