Ser Ortefauchel is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy XIV. He appears during the Leatherworker questline in the Heavensward expansion.

Looking for a gift for his wife, Ortefauchel visits Elde's Shop. Elde promises a product of the highest quality crafted by a leatherworker from Gridania. Eager for the product, Ortefauchel places an order for a pair of boots. After the Warrior of Light crafts a sample, a bard who was passing by takes an interest and also places an order. Ortefauchel says that that was the famous bard Aubrenard, and that if he wore the boots, many of his admirers would come to buy one just like it.[1]
Ortefauchel revealed that he is a Temple Knight and even though he delivered the gift, his wife kicked him out of the house and he had to rent a room at Cloud Nine. Ortefauchel says that he has been tasked with providing armor for the Temple Knights and suggests that they wear leather armor. However this opposed the tradition of wearing chainmail. Ser Ortefauchel wears the armor that the Warrior of Light crafted in a practical use to prove its resistance. Ser Handeloup himself comes to evaluate the leather armor. After watching Ser Ortefauchel dodge a beast's attack and survive one savage blow, he gladly vows to buy more of the same for the Temple Knights. Ortefauchel takes over for Warrior of Light as Elde's assistant, but claims that it is a dangerous position if his wife realizes that he is "working" with a younger woman.[2]

Ortefauchel is a brown-haired Elezen with a chin beard and mustache. He wears an earring in his left ear and a pair of glasses. Ortefauchel is seen in casual clothes wearing a 
Valerian Fusilier's Gambison, 
Cavalry Trousers and, a pair of 
Foestriker's Boots. During 
A Winter's Sale Quest, he removes his glasses and exchanges his Gambeson for a 
Chivalric Longcoat of Aiming and a 
Griffin Leather Gloves of Aiming.

In version 1.0 a Temple Knight named Ortefauchel served as a gatekeeper at the Gates of Judgement in Coerthas Central Highlands (18, 35). Due to lack of information, and because "Ortefauchel" also be a potential randomly generated surnames for Duskwight Elezen player characters, it is unknown if both are the same character.
