The Organics is a weapon for Cloud in Final Fantasy VII. It is acquired at the Icicle Inn, and has stats on-par with weapons for other characters at this point. Though it provides fewer Materia slots than Enhance Sword, available around the same point, it provides a much greater Attack bonus. The player can equip it to Cloud or throw it.

Mechanics[]
As the Organics has a base Attack stat bonus of 62, the base damage for physical attacks when the Organics is equipped is the following formula:
where "Level" is Cloud's current level and "Strength" is his Strength stat. The Organics also has an Attack% (Accuracy) of 107%, and grants a +16 bonus to Cloud's Magic stat when casting spells.

Organics provides a much higher Attack stat than a weapon available before it, making it Cloud's strongest weapon for physical damage and for Limits at this time. Compared to the Enhance Sword acquired at around the same time, it has fewer Materia slots at only six, with two unlinked. Which sword is better depends on how the player is using Cloud: if primarily used for physical damage from attacks and Limits, Organics is the better choice, while Enhance Sword is better for spellcasting.
Four of its Materia slots are linked, meaning they can benefit from Support Materia. Therefore, it is best to equip Cloud with Summon Materia or Magic Materia, which can take advantage of his high Magic and Strength stats. For the unlinked slots, Independent Materia and Command Materia can be equipped instead.
Organics is outclassed later on by Crystal Sword, which provides greater stats overall, and the same number of Materia slots, except all are linked. Though Organics becomes effectively redundant once Crystal Sword is acquired, the Crystal Sword is much more expensive.
