Ompagne
Ser Ompagne, also known by the epithet Ompagne Deepblack, is a non-player character in Final Fantasy XIV. He appears in Dark Knight quests in Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood. Ser Ompagne is the master of Fray Myste, and Sidurgu Orl and is one of the few Dark Knights in Ishgard.

Early life[]
Ser Ompagne was a temple knight commander who was hailed as a brave hero who slayed countless dravanians. After losing countless young soldiers and earning the accolades of the people, Ompagne no longer remembered the name of the boy who first gave his life to him and decided to leave the temple knights and walk the path of a dark knight. Ompagne saved Sid from being unjustly executed by temple knights and took Fray under his care after discovering him plotting against the knights for unjustly executing his friend.[1]
A heart bleeds, a man weeps, a soul burns. Thence comes the darkness, to consume..yet even in the depths, the flame endures..Submit to the flame and harness the abyss...
Ompagne's final words
Ompagne was defeated in combat and with his final words he mentioned the "Flame of the abyss" to Sid and Fray. Sid gathered his master's sword and locked it away in his armoire, vowing to not remove it until he proved worthy of the blade.[2]
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood[]
Myste created a living memory of Ompagne for Sid to speak with his master one more time. Although he did talk with Sid, he fought him, Rielle, and the Warrior of Light in order to test them. Before fading away into aether, he told Sid why he walked the path of a dark knight and to treat Rielle better.

Appearance[]
Ompagne is a tall elderly Elezen with lavender braided hair and blue eyes, he has a few scars on his face. He wears a full set of Abyss armor and wields the Caladbolg in battle.
Personality[]
Lauded as a brave hero of Ishgard, Ompagne grew guilty of losing so many under his care, and took Fray and Sid in after leaving. He is caring of his two charges and teases Sid about his capabilities as a Dark Knight. He sought forgiveness for leading young men to early graves for a lost cause, he sought to right his wrongs by teaching Sid and Fray how to do great things.
Gameplay[]
Ser Ompagne is fought in a special instance in Dark Knight Quest The Orphans and the Broken Blade at level 65, he fights with typical as well as unique Dark Knight abilities, such as Spiral Hell, Quickstep, Insurgency, Shadow of Death, Dark Chain, Forward Kick, Headsman's Delight, Land of the Dead, Lunge Cut, and Dark Dance.
