The Omega is a downloadable content monster from Final Fantasy XIII-2. According to the Arbiter of Time, Omega was a long-forgotten weapon of war so horrific it was sent into another dimension. Being part of post-launch content, Omega's stats are not listed in the official guides.
Stats
Battle
Omega in battle.
Omega starts the battle with Operation Ω, which works as a signal of its offensive. Its Flamethrower is strong enough to instantly kill weaker characters, but a well-developed Sentinel can absorb most of the missiles and lasers. Omega is immune to most things, but Dispel works. After a while, Omega will begin charging a Wave Cannon.
Just after the Wave Cannon, Omega overheats and staggers and becomes vulnerable, notably to Deprotect. When staggered it uses missile attacks. Whenever Omega's stagger ends, it will use Pilebunker to launch all party members and then resume with Operation Ω, and the battle restarts from there.

Omega instantly ends its stagger and uses Pilebunker when it reaches 1/3 of its maximum HP. At this point Omega will glow red and run around the arena dealing continuous small hits. When Omega glows red it won't be easy to hit using melee attacks, but the attack doesn't last long enough to lose the party's chain. During this state Omega's Chain Resistance drops from 100 to 80, and its resistances to Physical and Magical attacks change from Halved to Weakness, and it loses its status immunity. Omega is still capable of Wave Cannon, but won't overheat, and the running rampant attacks will resume. Before it uses Wave Cannon, it will buff itself with Accelerator.
Strategy
Omega attacks rapidly, so it is advised to keep a Sentinel up for most of the fight. The player can also use a buffing paradigm, like Prudent Planning (SYN/SYN/SEN), or one with Serah as a Saboteur, like Premeditation.
The party should be ready to switch to a Tortoise Paradigm when Omega charges Wave Cannon to 120%, although it gives a brief warning before unleashing the attack. After Omega staggers, the party should swap into a healing paradigm like Combat Clinic to recover any lost HP before going all out. Omega tosses missiles out, but an offensive paradigm like Relentless Assault is recommended until it stands up again.
When Omega glows red it is recommended to use Tri-disaster (RAV/RAV/RAV) combination to attack it with Thunder attacks.
Paradigm Pack
Omega makes for a great, albeit expensive, Commando. Its basic attack comprises of three quick lasers, its Ravage is an electric pulse that draws enemies towards it, and its Blitz is a flamethrower that can devastate random encounters. When its Feral Link gauge is full, it gets a boost to all of its attributes thanks to the Feral Surge ability. It also learns Auto-Bravery late into its development.
Omega's downsides are that it is expensive to develop, and its abilities Feral Fatigue, which inflicts status ailments on it when its Feral Link is used, and Leadenstrike, which reduces its ATB gauge recharge rate by 70%. The former can be avoided by not using the Feral Link to keep the boosted attributes, while the latter can be counteracted by infusing Attack: ATB Charge II (from Yeoman lv. 1) and Siphon Boost II (from Fencer lv. 18), the combination of which, due to each of the three hits in Omega's attack activating Attack: ATB Charge II separately, allows it to recover an entire ATB segment per attack.
All in all, Omega is a powerful Commando, but may not be worth the investment.

Musical themes
The theme "Threat Level Omega" plays during the battle with Omega. The only other time this theme plays is in Academia 400 AF.
Before game patch 1.03 was released, the Japanese version played an untitled song in the battle against Omega, which was also featured in the original soundtrack as a hidden song. After this patch the track was changed to "Threat Level Omega".

Etymology
Omega (capital: Ω, lowercase: ω; Greek Ωμέγα) is the twenty-fourth and last letter of the Greek alphabet, representing a longer Latin "o" as well as the "oo" and "ou" IPA vowel clusters. In mathematics, it is synonymous with a set's end or limit. In physics, uppercase omega is the SI abbreviation for the ohm, a unit of electrical resistance.

- This Omega's appearance is based on its Final Fantasy V counterpart.
- The Arbiter of Time's dialogue about Omega paraphrases a book in Final Fantasy V about Omega, "The roiling skies let loose a vile beast without a soul: Omega was its name".
- Omega is the only mechanical being that can be obtained as Paradigm Pack monster through the DLC.
