History[]
The Make It Rain Campaign 2016[]
As soon as the Warrior of Light has arrived at the Gold Saucer, Ollier welcomes them. Before he can explain about the attractions, they are interrupted by a shout. As soon as they arrive on the scene, they find Goncquard lying on the ground and surrounded by shocked onlookers. Z'napha, a Gold Saucer server, explains that during his meal, the elezen was suddenly overcome by a violent attack and collapsed. Roland appears, attracted by the anguished scream, and demands an explanation. After Ollier informs Roland of the situation, he shocks everyone present by concluding that the victim has probably been poisoned. Roland calls for a quick call to action and appoints Warrior of Light and Ollier as acting inspectors. Ollier wastes no time and immediately deduces the three most likely suspects: Z'napha who served the food, Lyell who prepared the libations, and Flaurie the victim's wife.[1]
After interrogating them and investigating the Gold Saucer, the Warrior of Light discovers the identity of the murderer to be Kokomui. Because of his addiction to gambling, he had accepted a reward for the murder of Goncquard. Kokomui dressed up as Senor Sabotender and stealthily poisoned the food. However, the Warrior of Light also deduced that the mastermind of the murder was Roland himself, thus revealing that the whole incident was nothing more than an act. [1]
The Make It Rain Campaign 2017[]
After speaking with a young broke man, the Warrior of Light learns that the Gold Saucer was hosting the Make It Rain Campaign. Visiting the Gold Saucer, the attendant had barely begun her explanation of the festivities when she is interrupted by Godbert Manderville. He offers the Warrior of Light a limited edition VIP card with the House of Manderville seal. The attendant instructs Warrior of Light to present they card to Ollier. Upon seeing the VIP card, Ollier informed them of the myriad of spectacular prizes.[2]
The Make It Rain Campaign 2021[]
Ollier has asked the Warrior of Light for help in solving a robbery and clearing Hugue, one of the attendants who has been wrongly accused as the prime suspect. In the lounge, Ollier briefs him on the details of the incident in question. Hugue has become a suspect primarily because of his proximity to the scene of the crime, as well as a prior theft he committed years ago. Ollier, however, remains convinced that the real culprit can be found elsewhere. With Master Roland's blessing, the Warrior of Light conducted an investigation on their own. To expedite their investigation, Ollier handed over a journal that could be used to record any testimony or observations of the crime scene and surroundings.
After the investigations, the Warrior of Light shares his deductions before a tribunal presided over by Ollier, Master Roland, the Captain Daluce. After a series of arguments, it is revealed that the culprit was actually Brass Blade Pipimaya. Sasapano, Pipimaya's twin brother, went undercover to arrange an alibi for his brother while he was stealing the Sabotender Emperador horn.[3]
The Make It Rain Campaign 2022[]
With the Make It Rain Campaign underway, Ollier and his fellow attendants worked to spread the word throughout the cities of Eorzea. Ollier asked the Warrior of Light to help Nanaphon, who was discouraged after failing to get the public's attention in Limsa Lominsa with his performance as Senor Sabotender. Nanaphon is pleased when Warrior of Light offers to be his voice and contribute to the promo. Although Senor Sabotender doesn't speak a word, his watchful gaze makes it clear that he deeply appreciates everything the Warrior of Light has done to help him. Ollier enters the scene, announcing that all staff members have been summoned back to the Gold Saucer immediately. Back at the Saucer, Ollier expresses his deep gratitude for having gained a plethora of new patrons for the establishment. Senor Sabotender, meanwhile, welcomes the new guests with his inimitable style.[4]
The Make It Rain Campaign 2023[]
To help with publicity, three reporters from different publications were invited to write about the Gold Saucer campaign. The reporters were: Kipih Jakkya for the Raven, Petyr Winsome for the Harbour Herald, and Dural Tharal for Mythril Eye. Once they all gathered at the Gold Saucer, Ollier welcomed them and explained that he wanted each of them to write a piece exposing the charm of the place to their respective audiences. He then reveals that a mammets hunt has been organized for the guests and that the reporter who finds the mammets of Godbert Manderville will get an exclusive interview with the owner of the Gold Saucer.[5]
As promised, Ollier summoned Godbert Manderville to take a personal tour of the Gold Saucer. During the tour, Godbert told facts about the Gold Saucer that no one except Godbert himself knew and gained a new appreciation for the history of the place. Kipih Jakkya was more than pleased with the interview and was eager to begin her article. Before leaving, Godbert encourages the pair to visit Ollier to receive a special gift.[6]
After Kipih Jakkya won the competition, Ollier summoned Godbert Manderville to take a personal tour of the Gold Saucer. After the tour, Godbert encourages the pair to visit Ollier to receive a special gift.[7]
