The Ogre Mage, also known as the WzOGRE in the NES version, is an enemy in the original Final Fantasy. It is an accomplished spell caster, and often begins a battle by casting Blink on itself to increase its Evasion. It can cast Dark, Sleep, Hold, and Blizzara, and has a permanent regenerative ability, which restores a minimal amount of their health. In the Cavern of Earth, they are often grouped with one or two other Ogres or Ogre Chiefs.
