The Ogre Chief, also known as GrOGRE in the NES version and the Ogre Chieftain in the PlayStation version, is an enemy in the original Final Fantasy. It is a palette swap of the original Ogre, with green skin and purple clothing. They are a bit harder than the Ogres, with some enhanced battle statistics, but they give out more Experience Points and gil, making them useful for level-grinding.
They appear uncommonly in forests near the Giant's Cave and the Cavern of Earth, but can be rarely found near the village of Elfheim.
