The Ogre is an enemy in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.
Stats
Battle
Ogres are not nearly as dangerous as their empowered kin, the Mad Ogre. Though their HP is a bit higher than other enemies, this mostly translates to merely need one or two more attacks to defeat. If the player is having trouble in tales reliant on spellcasting characters, Ogres are not immune to Sleep, so casting it on them can take them out of the battle for a significant period of time.
Ogres are an advantageous enemy to fight for the equipment they drop. The Headband and Power Armlet are excellent equipment for physical attackers, and their rare drop, the Giant's Gloves, are one of the best equipment pieces in the game.
Etymology
ogre is a mythical creature found in West European folklore. Ogres are typically depicted as large, mean-spirited, humanoid monsters that prefer to feed on human beings.
