Oblivion (物忘れ, Monowasure?) is a negative status effect in World of Final Fantasy that renders the victim unable to remember how to use their abilities. The afflicted can use neither physical nor magical abilities. When Lann or Reynn are afflicted with Oblivion, they cannot imprism Mirages. Oblivion is indicated by a white question mark symbol appearing above the victim's head. It can be removed by either using the Rememb Herbs item, casting Esuna, or simply winning a battle.
Players can also inflict Oblivion, either by using the Lethean Chime item, or from other abilities, such as Runic from Celes's Champion Medal.

"Oblivion" is a state of complete forgetfulness, especially the permanent lack of consciousness following death.
