The Oannes is a Sahagin-type enemy in Final Fantasy XIII-2. It can be encountered with other Oannes or with Ceratosaurs. It resists physical and magical attacks, but should not be much trouble if the player attacks continually to overcome its defenses.

Paradigm Pack[]
The Oannes is a Synergist that learns Faith, Enfrost, and Enthunder, which Noel and Serah cannot use; all are available for infusion. The player may prefer other Synergists later; it will at the very least need to be infused with more role abilities, ex. from Testudo's Faithga and Bravega.
Oannes's Feral Link, High Dive, deals physical damage to its main target and magic damage to surrounding enemies. Oannes works well with Pack Mentality, as its Sahagin brethren are of good power. Its First Strike is the superior form of ATB Advantage. Other than its weakness to Lightning, it has very strong defenses; it takes half damage from typeless or non-Lightning elemental magic, and from physical damage. This is better damage reduction than most monsters can get, even with passive abilities.
