North Caves

The North Caves (北の洞窟, Kita no Doukutsu?) is the first dungeon of Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light. The caves are located north of the Kingdom of Horne and serves as the only route to the Witch's Mansion. Adventuring in the caves could be challenging since it is covered in darkness, so it is highly advised the player brings a Torch to brighten up the area.

Brandt first goes to the Northern Caves on the way to the Witch's Mansion. There he is attacked by a Minotaur, but Jusqua arrives just in time to help him defeat the monster. After defeating the Minotaur, Jusqua joins Brandt and they continue on their quest.

The typical dungeon theme, "Cave of Wraiths" (あやかしの洞, Ayakashi no hora?) is the location theme for the North Caves. The track can be found in the original soundtrack as Track 9 and is composed by Naoshi Mizuta.
