Oh, shut up and help me remodel the Noel Kreiss (Opera Omnia) page!
The last remaining Farseer from seven hundred years after Lightning's time, he is responsible for leading Serah on her journey through time. He has a deep connection with Caius. He understands the value of life more than anyone and fosters an unshakable will to bring hope to the future.
Description
Noel is a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia who can be recruited during Act 2, Chapter 5 of the main storyline.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
His default skin is his appearance from Final Fantasy XIII-2 as a hunter of the Farseers tribe. His alternate outfit is his DLC costume from Final Fantasy XIII-2, called Battle Attire.
Personality[]
Story[]
Act 2, Ch. 7: Respite's Authenticity[]
After Materia brings Ignis to the world of respite, he socializes readily with the other warriors while Noctis and Prompto hang back uneasily. Noel approaches them with Prishe and asks if there is anything they'd want to ask their friend since it has been such a long time since they've seen them. When Prishe tells Prompto that he is much shier than Ignis, he becomes flustered; Noel tells Prompto that it is obvious to read him. In light of their shyness Noel encourages the two to approach Ignis more proactively and calls Ignis over to talk to his friends.

Allusions[]
- Noel was announced in the Japanese Act 2, Chapter 5 trailer on December 25, 2018, as his name is French for "Christmas".
- Noel's animation when activating his EX nods to the stance he takes just before the boss battle with him in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Likewise, his second ability, Gale Fang, is exclusive to the said boss battle.
- In his trailer:
- The final segment has him fight Lightning, which nods to the aforementioned boss battle (along with the same Japanese line for when his boss battle is just about to begin in the cutscene prior). The global version of the trailer shows him in his "battle attire" costume, nod to his stronger boss version called Noel Kreiss+ that can be fought after a certain day.
- In the Japanese trailer Noel finishes Lightning off with Gale Fang. In the global version, he finishes her off with Meteor Javelin (both attacks he can use against Lightning as a boss in Lightning Returns). In both instances, Noel is low on HP, which refers to the power curve between the two at the time.
- There is also a team composition with Noel alongside both Serah and Snow in a boss battle against a Flan Medley, referring to their conflict with the Royal Ripeness and the Mutantomato in Final Fantasy XIII-2.
- Many of his attacks focus on dealing enhanced-potency-damage on already-broken targets, alluding to his starting job/role as a Commando, where targets in the break state parallel the stagger state (the Japanese name for the stagger state is called "break").
- His Last Hunter framed-buff granted from his Gale Fang Extend changes his BRV and HP Attacks, respectively, into Fearsiphon and Scourge, two common Commando abilities. The former gives him a free ability use upon breaking a target that also alludes to its ATB-charging effects.
- Noel pairs up with Gladiolus as both are Guardians, of Yeul and Noctis respectively. He also teams up with Iroha, both being considered the last of their kind.
