Noctis (5★) description
The prince of the Kingdom of Lucis, spoken of in stories from the faraway land of Eos. He set out from the capital with his three friends looking forward to his wedding which would guarantee peace with the Niflheim Empire. Though he often acts brash in order to hide his shy and soft-spoken nature, he inherited his father's compassion for others and is a truly kind person. He is particularly accepting of his friends, treating them as if they were part of his own family.
Noctis (6★) description
Gameplay[]
A 5-6★ Rare Summon, Noctis's job is listed as Prince, and his roles are Physical Damage and Support. Noctis's default attack is a 3-hit attack with the Engine Blade. He has no innate element or status ailment resistances. His Trust Master reward is the Ring of the Lucii accessory (which gives access to the Holy, Alterna and Death abilities), as well as ATK and MAG +30%, and raises the unit's Evasion by 25%.
Noctis was released near simultaneously on the Global and Japanese version of the game. However, at the time of his release in Global, he would have been far too powerful compared to what was available at that time. In order to balance things, minor changes were made to his Trust Master reward, his Limit Burst, and a few of his active and passive abilities compared to his Japanese counterpart. However, with the event The Frozen Cavern, some changes were made to make Noctis (and Ring of the Lucii) more like the Japanese version.
His awakening materials are the following: Calamity Gem x20, Calamity Writ x10, Prismatic Horn x10, Rainbow Bloom x5, Divine Crystal x5

Noctis's stats at his highest levels are as follows (with no passive abilities taken into account), along with the maximum amount of stat points that can be increased through pot-enhancements:

- Ability Awakening
Noctis has four traits that can be enhanced: Warp Strike, Link, Fish and Chosen King.
- Warp Strike, an attack that decreases a single enemy's ATK and DEF by 45%, ignoring DEF by 50%, for 3 turns. Upon awakanening, the damage modifier increases from 2.5 to 3. Warp Strike+2 further boosts the ATK/DEF break to 50% and also the usage of Point-Blank Warp-Strike from 2 to 3. It requires Power crysts as materials.
- Link, raises the party's ATK and MAG by 45% for 3 turns while its awakened version adds DEF and MAG to the boost. Link+2 increases the Limit gauge by 10 for Noctis and enables Point-Blank Warp-Strike for 2 turns. It requires Supports crysts as materials.
- Fish, by default increases the chance by 100% for Noctis to be targeted. Awakening the ability one time, raises the turn duration to 2. The second upgrade enables using Point-Blank Warp-Strike for 2 turns. It requires Guard crysts as materials.
- Chosen King, is a passive ability that boosts Noctis HP and MP by 30%. Through awakening, DEF and SPR are added with Chosen King+1 and ATK, MAG and Limit gauge fill rate by 50 % are added on its second version. It requires Support crysts as materials.
- Limit Burst
Armiger (ファントムソード, Fantomusōdo?, lit. Phantom Sword) is Noctis's Limit Burst, and a damage and support-type ability. It is based off "Armiger Arsenal" from Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae, in which Noctis uses Aqesiro, Secace, Galatine and Rhongomyniad (the demo-only royal arms) in rapid succession and warps to strike the enemy.
Originally, Armiger was a 5-hit attack that dealt physical damage to a single enemy, while boosting the entire party's stats (ATK, DEF, MAG, SPR) by 40/59% (5★) or 50/74% (6★) for two turns. However, following Noctis' buff for the event The Frozen Cavern, Armiger has stronger modifiers and better buffs, while adding the effect of giving Noctis general damage mitigation for two turns, and enabling Noctis to use Point-Blank Warp-Strike for one turn. The damage mitigation effect will depend on Noctis' rarity: it will mitigate either by 20% (5★) or 30% (6★).
Tha damage modifier and how much stats will increase will depend on Noctis' LB level:

Crown Prince Noctis[]
Crown Prince Noctis is a 5-7★ Rare Summon and serves as Noctis' CG Limit Burst variant. His role is listed as Physical Attacker. He has been available since the release of the "Steyliff Grove" Exchange Event, released before according the schedule used in the Japanese version. Noteworthy he debuted in the Japanese Version as part of the same banner, whereas he is a permanent addition in the Global Version.
He has no innate element or status ailment resistances. His Trust Master Reward is named The Astrals' Protection which provides ATK+40%, MAG+45 and Limit Burst Damage +30%. His Super Trust Master Reward is the Ultima Blade (FFXV), which is a One-handed Sword, with 100 MP, 174 ATK, and the A Father's Bond (Crown Prince Noctis) effect, which boosts by his 50% Limit Burst damage.
Gameplay wise, Crown Prince Noctis is similar to his previous variant, although is heavily focused on high damage output. He has an affinity for enemy types boost killers unlike his previous appareance in which he has more versatile roles. He is able to afflict enemies with status ailments, break magic and spirit, while boosting his Limit Burst gauge. Crown Prince Noctis also can provide elemental resistances for the whole party, restore allies HP and MP to a low degree, similarly to his normal form and has some evasion abilities. He is capable of dealing massive Physical Damage to single and multiple enemies with a focus on the Dualhand build, by either dual casting or penta casting his abilities. Noteworthy from his previous form, Crown Prince Noctis places greater emphasis on boosting the damage of his Limit Burst, the Armiger Unleashed, to massive degrees, while instantly filling his LB Gauge.
Trivia[]
- Noctis' victory pose seems to be based on his bow to King Regis in the opening FMV of Final Fantasy XV and also used randomly after a battle in the main game.
