Description
Ninja Cannonball materia is a 
Command Materia in "Episode INTERmission" in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Its ability, Ninja Cannonball, is activated by pressing and together when Yuffie and Sonon are synergized for a joint attack that fills Sonon's ATB if it connects.

In "Find That Materia", Yuffie and Sonon make their way to the Compressor Facilities in Shinra's Advanced Weaponry Division. After felling some Shock Troopers, at the end of the room B15 - Advanced Weaponry: Production, operating the computer terminal reactivates the power and acquires Ninja Cannonball from a materia pod.

Ninja Cannonball is used when Yuffie or Sonon has the Ninja Cannonball materia equipped and the player presses and together while she and Sonon are synergized (by pressing 
). Yuffie leaps onto Sonon's staff who throws her toward the enemies, dealing moderate physical damage that may damage more than one enemy at once, filling Sonon's ATB if the attack hits. As it does not take any ATB to use, being akin to the Attack command, and thus is rather used for building Sonon's ATB that is otherwise often slow to build, Ninja Cannonball is a good materia to equip at all times when the player has both Yuffie and Sonon in their party.
When synergized, ATB builds slower than when the pair is separated, but with Ninja Cannonball the player can build the ATB for Synergized Art of War and Synergized Windstorm faster. A good time to pull it off is when Yuffie has the ATB, but Sonon does not; synergizing and using the cannonball tops Sonon up, allowing the player to follow up with Synergized Art of War or Synergized Windstorm. Another good time is if the player needs Sonon to have ATB to use a healing or support spell. It can also be used to simply deal damage; though it is not as strong as abilities that expend ATB, it is harder for enemies to interrupt than Yuffie and Sonon's normal Attack commands.
The materia may be better off equipped onto Sonon, to leave Yuffie with more space for other materia, as it does not matter which party member has it.
