The Ninja is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI. It is one of the most dangerous enemies on the Floating Continent.

Flame Scroll (GBA).
Ninja is first encountered in the Cave to the Sealed Gate, on the eastern edge of the Gestahlian Empire. The player must press the right-hand switch adjacent to the save point chamber in the middle of the cave system to fight a solo Ninja. Stealing from this Ninja is the first chance for the player to obtain a pair of Angel Wings (excluding the Jidoor auction). In the now dis-continued 2014 Steam version, the switch could be reactivated after entering and leaving the save chamber.
Every turn Ninja have a 66% chance of throwing a Flame Scroll, Water Scroll, or Lightning Scroll, doing several hundred damage to the party. They often attack in pairs, and can quickly decimate the party. They have a 33% chance of countering any attack with Stealth, granting 
Invisible status. They are weak to 
Lightning.
Ninja may drop a Fuma Shuriken, a powerful throwing weapon for this point in the game.
Strategy[]
Thundara spells and Gau's Aspiran Rage work well, as does Shadow throwing Lightning Scrolls. Casting Death on Ninja can be very effective.

A ninja was a covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan who specialized in unorthodox warfare. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination, and open combat in certain situations.
