DFF Nightglow

Nightglow in Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.

Nightglow (ナイトグロウ, Naitogurou?) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is an ability typically associated with Golbez in his spin-off appearances.

Appearances[]

Dissidia Final Fantasy (2008)[]

Nightglow is a ground magical HP attack for Golbez, learned by default. It requires 40 CP to equip (20 when mastered), 180 AP to master, has Melee High and Ranged High priority, and can induce Wall Rush. Golbez creates a circle of electric energy from underneath the opponent, then knocks them high into the air with lightning strikes. The attack can stun the opponent at start-up.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

Nightglow is an HP attack for Golbez, requiring 30 CP to equip (15 when mastered) and 130 AP to master. It is otherwise identical to its previous version.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT[]

Nightglow is Golbez's first available HP attack. It sends a column of darkness at Golbez's target, and creates an additional shockwave around Golbez if his Shadow Dragon is summoned.

Etymology[]

Airglow (also called nightglow) is a faint emission of light by a planetary atmosphere. In the case of Earth's atmosphere, this optical phenomenon causes the night sky to never be completely dark, even after the effects of starlight and diffused sunlight from the far side are removed.
