Nightfall in Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.

Nightfall (ダークフォール, Dāku Fōru?) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is used exclusively by Cecil Harvey.

Dissidia Final Fantasy[]

Nightfall is an aerial physical Bravery attack for Cecil while as a Dark Knight, learned at level 13. It requires 20 CP to equip (10 when mastered), 180 AP to master, has Melee Low priority, and can induce Chase. Cecil quickly descends downwards, causing a small burst of darkness and knocking the opponent back.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

Nightfall is a Bravery attack for Cecil while as a Dark Knight, learned at level 4. It requires 90 AP to master and has Melee Low priority on the descent as well as Ranged Mid priority on the impact. It is otherwise the same as in the previous game.

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin[]

Nightfall is a weapon ability typically enabled by the Partisan, Blitz Lance, Radiant Lance, or the Spear Master affinity. This ability swings the lance, striking the enemy repeatedly, then slams them into the ground, dealing strike damage.

In addition, Nightfall appears as a job action change for the Abyss Knight class of the Dark Knight.

Etymology[]

Nightfall is also called sunset or sundown, the daily disappearance of the Sun below the western half of the horizon. It is the close of the day, and the coming of night.
