Neyuni is a non-playable character in Final Fantasy XIV. She is the younger sister of Eutrope and Yaana.
History[]
Before Dawntrail[]
Neyuni's parents were in Yyasulani when the dome appeared and became trapped there. They began working as hunters and strongly opposed the use of soul regulators. After their parents passed away, Eutrope took on the responsibility of caring for her sisters and insisted that they start using regulators to avoid a similar fate. Eutrope quickly mastered the use of electrope, and by combining it with the soul of the levinsteed, she rose to prominence in the heavyweight division of the Ascension Arcadia Championship, earning the nickname "Wicked Thunder". However, just before she was set to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, Eutrope mysteriously vanished.[1]
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail[]
When the Ascension Arcadia Championship resumed, Yaana became one of the rookies competing in the light-heavyweight tier. She lost to the Warrior of Light, who fought without using a regulator. With the penalty for losing, Yaana was unable to participate in battles for some time, so she offered to become the Warrior of Light's second. Yaana brought the Warrior of Light to the gym, where they met Neyuni. At the gym, Neyuni thanked the Warrior of Light for taking care of Yaana. They celebrated the Warrior of Light's victories, and Yaana confessed that she was intrigued by the Warrior of Light's choice to fight without a regulator, as it reminded her of their parents. Neyuni then asked if the Warrior of Light would consider using a regulator, at least to avoid potential death in the arena, but Yaana responded that they couldn't simply change their mind on the matter.[1]
Before the next match, Neyuni and Yaana told the Warrior of Light about Eutrope. Neyuni stayed behind in the gym to watch the matches on the screen. After the Warrior of Light defeated the Brute Bomber and became the new light-heavyweight champion, Neyuni was stunned by Eutrope's unexpected return. Once the Warrior of Light forced Eutrope to retreat, they and Yaana came back to the gym. Eutrope arrived shortly after to discuss her psychonekrosis and the fate of the immortalized fighters with her sisters. She explained that she had disappeared to find a cure. Neyuni asked if she had succeeded, and Eutrope replied that she had, at least in theory; a sufficiently dense soul could cure psychonekrosis, like the Warrior of Light's. However, Eutrope fled when Metem came in to check on Neyuni and Yaana after Eutrope's sudden reappearance. Yaana wanted to expose the truth about psychonekrosis, but Metem refused, insisting instead that the Warrior of Light must win the Championship and become the grand champion, as this would allow them to release all the feral souls. Neyuni and Yaana then began searching for an alternative cure for Eutrope.[2]
Characteristics[]
Appearance[]
Neyuni is child Hhetsarro with pink hair, with fanged teeth, like the Keepers of the Moon.
Personality[]
Neyuni is kind and easy-going, and cares for her sisters very much. She is also wise for her age, when she asked the Warrior of Light in full knowledge that they oppose the idea, if they would use a soul regulator to at least ensure they wouldn't die in the arena. This also shows she has taken a liking to the Warrior of Light and worries for them.
