Needle in Final Fantasy V.

Needle (はり, Hari?), is a recurring enemy ability in the series. It often inflicts moderate non-elemental damage to one party member, and is usually unblockable and cannot be reduced by use of Protect. There are also several variations of the move, such as ? Needle (怪しい針, Ayashii Hari?).

Final Fantasy IV[edit | edit source]

Needles (originally called Needler) is an enemy ability used by Gatlinghog, Needlehog and Sword Rat. It deals non-elemental damage and ignores Protect status, it's often used as a counterattack to taking damage.

Final Fantasy IV -Interlude-[edit | edit source]

Needles is the ability of Sword Rat and Gatlinghog, it functions the same way as it prequel.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[edit | edit source]

Needles is an enemy ability used by the Gatlinghog, Needlehog, and the Sword Rat. It deals minor damage to one target.

Final Fantasy V[edit | edit source]

Needle is used by several enemies that inflicts both Blind and Silence to one party member. The player can utilize this ability by catching and then releasing a Killer Bee or Silent Bee.

Final Fantasy VII[edit | edit source]

Needle is an ability used by Vargid Police that inflicts minor non-elemental damage and Paralyze to one party member. ? Needle, used only by Unknown 2, inflicts Paralyze on one party member.

The Slaps enemy can use an attack called Berserk Needle which inflicts the Berserk status on its single target and inflict magic damage. The attack Bug Needle is also used by Slaps and inflicts magical damage and attempts to inflict both the Poison status and the Sadness status.

Final Fantasy VIII[edit | edit source]

Needle is used only by Bite Bug which inflicts non-elemental damage and Poison to one party member. Tail Needle, used by Elnoyle, inflicts non-elemental damage and will always Critical one party member.

Final Fantasy X-2[edit | edit source]

Sharpened Needle, Poison Needle, and Sleep Needle, all used by the Wasp genus, inflicts statuses as well as non-elemental damage to one party member.

Bravely Second: End Layer[edit | edit source]

Needle is the level 1 Spellcraft for the Wizard. It allows the user to modify a spell so that it affects all targets of the same name in a given party. Certain status enhancing spells will have their duration extended. It costs 10 MP to use.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest[edit | edit source]

Para-Needle has an attack power of 70, used by Sting Rat and Edgehog, inflicts non-elemental damage and Paralyze to one party member.

Final Fantasy Adventure[edit | edit source]

Needle is an enemy ability used by the Porcupine, a projectile that is shot in a straight line.
