The Naga are serpent-like monster in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest present in some of the later portions of the game. It can inflict status ailments on the party and has two phases. At first they appear as a woman holding her snake tail over her shoulders. After taking some damage she turns into a small cobra.

Naga (Sanskrit: नाग, Nāgá) is a deity of entity taking the form of a great snake—specifically the King Cobra—in Hinduism and Buddhism. For female counterparts, they're called nagi.
