NTT Publishing (NTT出版, Enu Ti Ti Shuppan?) are a Japanese publishing company and record label. They are an affiliate company of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (a parent company of NTT DoCoMo who make the NTT DoCoMo phones). Prior to Square's establishment of DigiCube in February 1996, their music was published by NTT Publishing, and up until 1994 NTT also published their books before switching to Famitsu (under ASCII Corporation), and later DigiCube. Their first published work for Square was the Final Fantasy III Kiso Chishiki-hen in April, 1990. The works were pubished under the Square Brand imprint. Prior to publishing their main game books on NTT Publishing, Square first published their guides with the Family Computer Magazine brand published by Tokumashoten Intermedia Inc..
Their first music publication was the SaGa 2 Special Sound Selection (music from Final Fantasy Legend 2) which was a CD that came with a special edition of the Final Fantasy Legend II Kiso Data-hen in December 14, 1990. Their first standalone publishing of music was the Final Fantasy IV: Original Sound Version in June 14, 1991. Prior to publishing music on NTT Publishing, Square published their first few works on Datam (part of Polystar). Polystar was still initially involved with distribution of works published on NTT Publishing.
Nobuo Uematsu released his first studio album, Phantasmagoria on this label, which features a vocal arrangement of the "Final Fantasy" theme.
NTT Publishing also produced the anime Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals.
Music[]
Many works were republished (up until 2004), however the dates below are only the first printing.
Books[]
NTT Publishing put the publishing dates at the back of the book. Those books not given a specific date below are missing them.
Due to NTT Publishing's involvement in Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals, their logo appears on the cover of V Jump's Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals Zanpen and Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals Kōhen.
