N-7000 is an Omicron unit residing in Ultima Thule on Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker and is a central character in the Omicron tribe quests.

History[]

N-7000 intercepted and broke a Loporrit drone that was collecting data about Ultima Thule. The Loporrit Jammingway, who came to investigate the sudden distress beacon and disappearance of the drone, berated Omicron for destroying the machine. The Omicron, however, ignored the insults and relayed a troubling series of events: after Sir issued its final command to "live", the war matrix Stigma-4 reawakened and is now preparing for war against Etheirys. This alarmed both the Warrior of Light and Jammingway. N-7000 also informed the two that the destruction of Stigma-4 would have catastrophic implications for the Omicrons as a whole. N-7000, being the information gathering unit for the Omicrons, proposed a solution: the Warrior of Light to enter Stigma-4's virtual mind and destroy its simulation. The Warrior of Light succeeded, resulting in Stigma-4's calculations determining the Omicrons will have a near 100% chance of annihilation if they went to war, calling off the attack. With its purpose fulfilled, N-7000 prepared to go into extended hibernation, but Jammingway convinced it that such an act would contradict Sir's orders. It agreed with Jammingway's suggestion to open a cafe instead and recreate the races doomed by the Final Days.

Through operating the cafe, N-7000 discovered the dynamis was creating a new planetoid, which Jammingway named Elysion. The cafe began attracting many recreated races, such as the Ea and the Dragons, which caused great change in Elysion and surrounding dynamis. N-7000 eventually experienced a sensation that caused it to stare in contemplation at the tree the Omicrons kept in their base. This sensation overloaded the unit, forcing Jammingway, Stigma-4, and the Warrior of Light to reboot it. The Omicron unit wasted no time in traveling to Elysion, where the Last Dregs staff discovered a forest had been recreated. N-7000 concluded the forest was a symbol of the unit's hope the Omicrons could find a more meaningful future.

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

N-7000 takes on the appearance of the standard Omicron worker: its chassis is thin and skeletal, it possesses three-pronged claw-like appendages, and its head houses a single, large, blue-glowing visual receptor. Following the opening of the Last Dregs, Jammingway has adorned its head with a pair of glowing, blue, rabbit-like ears to distinguish it from the other Omicrons.

Personality[]

Similar to other Omicrons, N-7000 is forthright and blunt in sharing information. It is willing to undermine the efforts of Stigma-4, who should be above it in the Omicron's chain of command, if anyone provides evidence that Stigma-4's actions and orders would contradict an even higher-ranking Omicron's orders. It was this logic that N-7000 undermined Stigma-4's preparations to invade Etheirys and convinced it to change to more diplomatic directives. N-7000's bluntness in voicing its opinion is most prominent in its interactions with Jammingway, as N-7000 will always point out the Loporrit's logical flaws. Despite this, the two work well in managing the cafe and N-7000 does accept that, thanks to the powers of dynamis, there are things that cannot logically be explained.

Despite N-7000's status as a robot, it is capable of some emotion. It was briefly at a loss on how to re-establish a purpose, having fulfilled its earlier one and concluding entering permanent hibernation would contradict Sir's orders. Through its interactions with Jammingway, it has found a new purpose as manager of Last Dregs and found a way to feel hope for the Omicron people.
