Mystile is an armor in Final Fantasy VII that provides the highest Def% and MDef% boosts of all armor pieces, making it the strongest evasive armor in the game. It provides 62 Defense and 72 Magic Defense, and provides six Materia slots in linked pairs at Normal growth.
Mystile is permanently missable.

The first chance to obtain a Mystile is during the raid on Midgar nearly at the end of the game, during "Mako Cannon Rampage, finding it in the Sector 8 Fountain area. If the player does not obtain this Mystile, it is forever lost. The final chance to obtain the Mystile is at the end of the game at the Northern Cave, found in the Spiral Lower section. Utilizing a glitch, it is possible to obtain a third Mystile from Tifa when the party regroups at the bottom of the crater by sending Tifa to the right and Cloud to the left at the Horizontal Fork, then returning to the path that Tifa goes down and picking up the Mystile there, and finally returning to the bottom of the crater to regroup the party and talk to Tifa to get the third, mistakenly called "Mythril" when obtained. This third copy can be permanently missed.

Mystile is a very powerful armor for its high evasive stats while still boosting strong defensive stats. If the player has not obtained the Ziedrich, the Mystile can be used to replace it as a means of dodging attacks instead of purely taking less damage overall. Mystile has excellent usage with Ruby Weapon to avoid its Ultima, Comet2, and Shadow Flare spells, while having good evasion to avoid the attacks from the tentacles.
Because the attacker's Defense% also heavily contributes to the chance of a physical attack connecting, moves like D.Blow and Flash also have a greater chance of connecting with a Mystile equipped.
Overall, Mystile should be used over all other armors if the Ziedrich is not available. The boon of Mystile over Ziedrich is that the latter has no Materia slots.
