Mushussu is an enemy in Final Fantasy X found at the Sanubia Desert. Due to its tough hide, it is hard to damage except with Auron or Kimahri's Piercing weapons. Their physical attacks can inflict Slow, unless Provoked, which will cause it to use an attack with reduced accuracy. The player should watch out for its Fire Breath, which deals moderate Fire damage to the party. Against aeons, it will use Breath half of the time, or always against Valefor.
In the original JP/NA version, Mushussus drop weapons with Strength +3% and Magic +3% instead of Distill Power.

Etymology[]
The mušḫuššu is a creature depicted on the reconstructed Ishtar Gate of the city of Babylon, dating to the 6th century B.C. As depicted, it is a mythological hybrid, a scaly dragon with hind legs like an eagle's talons, feline forelegs, a long neck and tail, a horned head, a snakelike tongue, and a crest.
