The Mummy is an enemy in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. A mummy was responsible for causing Reuben to be injured at the Rope Bridge. As an undead enemy, it is easy to kill, but can inflict many different status ailments and can multiply, making fighting it more annoying. The creature has two phases. At first bandages cover all but a part of their gut, but the bandages are removed as it takes damage.

Etymology[]
A mummy is a deceased human or animal whose skin and organs have been preserved by either intentional or incidental exposure to chemicals, extreme cold (ice mummies), very low humidity, or lack of air when bodies are submerged in bogs, so that the recovered body will not decay further if kept in cool and dry conditions.
