Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry
The Mover is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI that appears in Kefka's Tower. They are only found in one room in the tower, which is taken by the second party, and always appear in groups of three. The Mover Rage allows Gau to use Meltdown, a rare and powerful spell that isn't obtained until the end of the game.
Stats[edit | edit source]
Battle[edit | edit source]
Unlike Movers from other Final Fantasy games, they have very little HP and do not possess valuable item drops or steals, massive AP rewards, or dangerous attacks. Instead, they are a common encounter with a mediocre AP reward, and have massive Magic Defense and perfect Evade, so they are hard to kill.
Strategy[edit | edit source]
In the SNES release, the evade bug nullifies their high evade, while in all releases, defense-ignoring spells such as Ultima and Flare can destroy them in one hit. They can be killed easily by using physical attacks from the Blitz, Tools, or Throw commands. Movers are not immune to Death, so Death and Banish can easily defeat them. The Movers only attack and Silence party members; when alone, they use Mighty Guard and 1000 Needles. Overall, they don't pose a great threat.
