Please expand this article into a full one. This request can be discussed on the associated discussion page. Remove this notice upon completion.

Morrow is one of the eight main protagonists of Final Fantasy Dimensions II. He is a carefree young man from Navos Village who seeks an adventure.

Profile

Appearance

Morrow is a young boy with short messy brown hair and blue eyes. Morrow wears a white shirt under a blue jacket with armor on his right shoulder and elbow. He has a black sweat band around his right wrist as well as black bands around his lower arm, and a red bandana around his neck. He wears blue shorts with a brown belt, blue shoes, and a single blue glove on his right hand.

In Final Fantasy Legends: Toki no Suishō, Morrow's original design had him wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt with large black buttons and armor on the elbows. He wore a red bow tie and black gloves with white cuffs. He also had a gold pocket watch on his right side. He wore grey capri pants with a black belt with a brown pouch on the back and black shoes. This outfit is available by default for Morrow as the "Time Warrior" costume.

Personality

Morrow is a carefree young man with a very gung-ho type when it comes to his actions. Due to his adventurous attitude, Morrow immediately charges into action or agrees to help anyone in need of help, much to Wrieg's dismay. He is a very friendly person and has little distrust in people, as seen when Maina joins the party.

Story

The Crystal of Time

During the opening, Morrow has a dream of him wandering in a wasteland and is attacked by a swarm of monsters. After defeating the monsters, Morrow is joined by Wrieg and a mysterious girl. The three defeat the monsters in their way and travel further into the wastelands. While traveling, Morrow and his party are attacked by an unknown creature. The three try to fight the creature, but the beast unleashes Megaflare, defeating Morrow and his friends.

After the dream, Morrow is woken up on the hill in Navos Village by his grandfather, Gad. Gad tells him that Wrieg has stopped by to the village, which excites Morrow and runs back to the village. Back in the village, Morrow and Wrieg witness a shooting star flying across the sky and land in Navos Forest outside of town. Wrieg decides to investigate the forest, prompting Morrow to attempt to join him on his inquiry, but Wrieg declines Morrow's assistance due to the possible danger. Despite Wrieg's order, Morrow sneaks out of the village and goes to Navos forest. Inside the forest, Morrow witnesses a Phantom Ship flying over the forest and is attacked by monsters emerging from it. After defeating the monsters, Morrow arrives at the impact site of the shooting star. The shooting star emits a strong light and the girl from Morrow's dream emerges from it. The girl, confused by the events, reveals she has no memory and only remembers her name being Aemo. Before he can introduce himself to her, Atomos appears and attacks the two. Midway through the battle with Atomos, Wrieg appears to help the two defeat the creature, which results in the creature inhaling them into its mouth, transporting them to the Rift.

Etymology

Morrow is an archaic word meaning "the next day/morning". As English evolved, the prefix to was added to create the compound word to-morrow, which dropped its hyphen by the mid-20th century, becoming tomorrow.

Trivia

  • Takashi Tokita states that Morrow was originally going to be a character that put the burden of the world's suffering on his shoulders, however, Tokita then gave the order to make him into someone who would happily adventure around the world.
