The arrival of summer is heralded by the relentless heat of the blazing sun and the distant crackle of fireworks, while festival chaperones prepare for the Moonfire Faire. This year, they have gone far beyond the usual assortment of colorful baubles and banners, devising a series of challenges that allow glory seekers to demonstrate their bravery before admiring onlookers. But be warned─only those possessed of a strong pair of legs and a stomach for dizzying heights may hope to conquer this most death-defying test of acrobatic prowess.
Lodestone description.[1]
Push your acrobatic abilities to the limit! was the 2018 edition of the seasonal event Moonfire Faire in Final Fantasy XIV.
The event was started by accepting the sidequest
Jump to the Beach by talking to Mayaru Moyaru at the Aftcastle in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (X:11.5 Y:13.8).
History[]
While the Moonfire Faire is celebrated across Eorzea, Mayaru Moyaru has reported that the main attraction is on the Costa del Sol. However, he is suspiciously secretive about the nature of this attraction. Upon arriving in Costa del Sol, the Warrior of Light is confronted with several wooden structures. Haermaga, reveals that they have built an obstacle course as the centerpiece of this year's festivities. The organizers of the event believe that the sight of members of the Adventurers' Guild risking their lives to complete an increasingly difficult series of challenges will inspire the younger generation to one day become adventurers.[2]
R'fhul Tia and R'majha.
When Warrior of Light is about to register to compete, a shy young man named R'fhul Tia and his little sister R'majha arrive. The older brother declares his intention to take on the Eorzean Nimble Warrior course. However, only members of the Adventurers' Guild can sign in. Despite not having the necessary credentials, R'fhul Tia manages to convince Haermaga to break the rules, on the condition that the Warrior of Light goes first to demonstrate the correct method for completing the course.[2]
Beaudefoin was the guide on the way, he explained the simple rules of the Eorzean Nimble Warrior course. Each of the three sections was led by a Moonfire Faire chaperone. J'nangho was the first chaperone. Upon witnessing his completion of the first test, J'nangho is pleased, but not surprised. She warns that greater challenges must be overcome to reach Hildelana's platform at the end of the second stretch. Arriving at the second goal, Hildelana quickly presents the final course. P'obyano was the final chaperone, she applauds the Warrior of Light for completing the challenge.[3]

After Warrior of Light has completed the challenge, R'fhul Tia eagerly prepares for his own attempt. R'majha rushes ahead to find a spot from where the two of you can watch her brother's acrobatics. Immediately after placing his foot on the starting platform, R'fhul Tia steps forward to make the first jump. Unfortunately, he immediately falls into the water below. After dragging himself to the beach, R'fhul Tia regains his composure and tries to hide his embarrassment with laughter. His sister is offended by this and leaves in a rage without explaining the reason for her anger.[4]
After searching for the girl, the Warrior of Light finds R'majha on the east coast, having traveled a surprising distance in such a short time. She has explained her frustration by seeing her brother's reaction to his poor performance on the obstacle course. R'fhul Tia has long stated that it is his dream to become an adventurer, and as such, his sister expected him to treat the contest more seriously. She also expresses concern about his plans to leave home in search of fame and fortune. R'fhul Tia assures her that although he may be separated from his family, he will not put himself in unnecessary danger and will return safe and sound.[4]
Haermaga is visibly thrilled to hear that R'fhul Tia decided to become an adventurer after witnessing the guild's acts of heroism at a previous Moonfire Faire. He thanks the Warrior of Light for many contributions and invites they to enjoy the rest of the festival.[4]
