Montichaigne Mongrignois [ˈmɒn.tɪˌʃeɪn, mɔ̃tiʃɛɲ mɔ̃ɡʁiɲwa] is a character in Final Fantasy XIV, introduced in Endwalker as a central figure in Sharlayan.
History[]
Montichaigne is a well known mage and headmaster of the Studium, as he had been the teacher of some of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, like Alphinaud Leveilleur, Alisaie Leveilleur, Krile Maya Baldesion or Y'shtola Rhul.
He is one of the most liberal members of the Forum, and despite his position there, he had been able to keep close friendships with individuals like Louisoix Leveilleur, Matoya or Galuf Baldesion.
When the Scions of the Seventh Dawn were put under trial by the Forum, Montichaigne was the only who defended them and he was capable to convince the majority of the Forum to allow the Scions to stay in Sharlayan and investigate about the Final Days.
Characteristics[]
Appearance[]
Montichaigne is an elder elezen dressed with white robes like the other Forum members. He has short white hair and a short beard.
Personality[]
Although he had swore to respect the scared oath of the Forum of not intervention outside Sharlayan, he does his best to assist the Scions. He is proud of the Leveilleur twins, Krile and Y'shtola and how much they have grown since they were his students, although he doesn't hesitate to praise the Warrior of Light for putting up with their antics, stating that they must have the "patience of a saint".
