The '''Monolith''' is an enemy in ''[[Final Fantasy X-2]]'' found in the [[Farplane (Final Fantasy X)|Road to the Farplane]] and Cloisters 61 to 64 of the [[Via Infinito]]. It is a black and blue-colored version of the [[Tomb]].

== Battle ==
The Monolith is the most dangerous of the Doomstones, as it is the strongest of the bunch and can use the [[Gravity (ability)|Demi]] spell as well as the Doomstone trademark attack, [[Stone Breath]]. It can come in groups of two, or with other enemies as well.

It is advised to hit its weaknesses with the [[Warrior (Final Fantasy X-2)|Warrior's]] Holy and Ice-elemental [[Swordplay (Final Fantasy X-2)|Swordplay]] skills as well as the spells [[Holy (ability)|Holy]] and [[Blizzaga (ability)|Blizzaga]] to bring it down.

After the player has completed the [[Dolmen]]'s fiend tale and entered the Farplane Abyss at least once, the Monolith can be captured. Like with the two Doomstones before it, the Monolith has already learned Attack, Stone Breath, and [[Final Fantasy X-2 auto-abilities#Ailment Def.|Ailment Def.]], and can further learn [[Final Fantasy X-2 auto-abilities#Total Limit Break|Total Limit Break]] by surviving a powerful attack.

Once the Monolith's fiend tale is complete, it spawns [[Ultima Weapon (Final Fantasy X-2)|Ultima Weapon]], who is then automatically recruited into the party.
