I'm starting to like what I see in you boy. You've begun to carry yourself like a proper hunter.
Monid
Monid is a bangaa and member of Clan Centurio in Final Fantasy XII. A recluse, he is helping Montblanc locate the people attacking clan members while on Hunts. He joins the player party on a Hunt as an AI-controlled guest. In Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, Monid is a White Monk as part of Clan Centurio's team for the Champion's Cup.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Monid is a brown bangaa who wears a brown shirt and red shorts. He has long floppy ears and covers his eyes with a bandage.
Personality[]
Monid has a low opinion on the party, believing that they are not as good as he is. He remains this way even if the other members are starting to respect them. Despite this, he has a caring side, as shown when he comforts a young hume boy whom he adopted and has been raising as his own child ever since his loved ones were killed while hunting the Trickster. Monid is honest, as shown by him letting the party take all the rewards for defeating the Trickster because he had only contributed little during the hunt. After the party finds the culprit behind the Clan Centurio hunter ambushes, Monid finally begins respecting them.
Story[]
When the party first joins Clan Centurio, Monid is less than impressed by the group. He sits in the corner, constantly stating they are nowhere near as good as he is. Even as other clan members start to respect the party, Monid is still not impressed. Monid often chats with and comforts a young hume boy he has been raising as his own son ever since his friends, the boy's parents, were killed during the hunt for the white chocobo, Trickster.
Monid helps Vaan's party during the hunt of Trickster. Monid will always reach the hotspot first and inform the party if Trickster has appeared in the area, and warns the party to be cautious. Monid allows Vaan to take all the rewards, seeing that he himself contributed only a little during the hunt.
When it comes time to locate the hunters attacking clan members, Monid creates a scene in the clan hall and storms out. The rest of the clan, including the party, are suspicious of Monid, thinking he is the hunter. Montblanc sends the party out on a hunt for Belito, to help draw out the hunters.
When the party reach the destination, they find Monid waiting, but before they can talk to him, Ba'Gamnan appears, revealing himself to be the hunter. With Monid's help they defeat Ba'Gamnan, and drive him and his family off. Monid explains the situation, and pays the party. When they return to the clan hall, everyone is sorry they doubted Monid, and are glad to have him back. From then on, Monid becomes a friend of the party.
