How to find[]
Map of Molen's approximate spawn point. |
Molen is found in the Hourglass Basin part of the Zertinan Caverns. The player must head into the secluded section of the area (the area with the Grenades and where the Catoblepas is fought), which can be reached via the Undershore by walking between the two "sandfalls", southeast of the save crystal. The player must wait roughly 10 to 15 seconds and they should see the Molen appear on the other side of the ravine.
Etymology[]
The enemy's Japanese name may derive from the Ancient Greek word Ἄμυστις (Ámustis), which was a style of drinking, specifically with mouth wide open without stopping to take a breath, a long draught. Cups from which one can drink easily are also referred to this way. Amystis in Greek means "defender". It may also be related to Amsety or Imset, one of the sons of Horus and a funerary deity from Egyptian mythology. Close to the term is the monoclinic-prismatic colorless mineral called amstallite. Another possible reference is amosite, the rare asbestiform variety of the mineral grunerite that was mined asbestos. Yet another possible origin word is amusette, which was a light field cannon, or stocked gun mounted on a swivel.
The English name "Molen" may come from the German word for mill.
