Moglin (Kupek in the older translations) is a temporary playable character when he joins Locke Cole's party in the Narshe Mines where they defend Terra Branford from the Narshe Guards. He is permanently equipped with a Mythril Spear and a Buckler. Moglin is the place-filler for Cyan Garamonde.
Moglin is the chieftain of the moogles in the Churning Mists, and first appears in the main scenario of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. He is later fought as the first boss of Sohr Khai as part of Hraesvelgr's trial.
A moogle whose name is an acronym for "Military Operation Organization and Guidance/Logistics Expert" appears. As one of the thirteen moogles known as the "Cranberry Knights," Moogle is assigned to Class Zero to oversee course arrangements, mission guides, communications, and daily domestic works, such as laundry and meals. It is given the nickname "Moglin" by Cinque; everyone refers to it by this name in the end. Like Mog from Final Fantasy XIII-2, along with the rest of its kind, Moglin is voiced by Sumire Morohoshi in the Japanese version and by Ariel Winter in the English version.
Moglin is one of several moogles running shops around the world, he has the distinction of having the largest role of the moogles in the storyline, and is the first to encounter the party. He nicknames Lightning "the Thunder Lady".
