That cannot be all! I saw it when I left the village! Ivalice is changing! How can the viera stand and do nothing at all?

Mjrn

Mjrn is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy XII. She is a viera and the younger sister of Fran and Jote. She looks up to Fran and wants to experience the outside world, much to the dismay of Jote, as the viera consider leaving the Golmore Jungle an act that cannot be forgiven.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Mjrn has the typical dark skin and silver hair of a viera, but her hair is cut in a short bob, possibly demonstrating her youth among the viera. Her lips are pale and she has dark eyes. Her outfit consists of the long black and red sleeves her sister Fran also wears, as well as a yellow and white mini-dress in a design similar to a basque and exposes her tiny black shorts. Basic leg armor and high heels that all viera wear to walk steadily complete the ensemble.

Personality[]

Intrigued by the world beyond the Wood, Mjrn is a curious viera, a stark contrast to other residents of her village, who desire only what they already have. This has caused Mjrn to argue with other sister Jote, who would not willingly allow her the freedom she wants.

Story[]

Despite Jote's concerns, Mjrn left Eruyt Village to find out why humes had recently been wandering in and out of the Jungle, and even followed them all the way to the Henne Mines where she was captured and used for experimentation. The scientist wanted to see what effects the Mist from manufacted nethicite had on the viera, who are sensitive to Mist and other natural phenomena.

Fran saves Mjrn in the Henne Mines.

Because of these experiments, she not only went into a Mist-frenzy, but also came under the possession of Venat. Just prior to being discovered by Vaan and the party, she awakened Tiamat from its slumber. After defeating it, Venat left Mjrn's body and she woke up in Fran's arms.

Upon returning to Eruyt Village, she is scolded by Jote for having left the village, and even more so when she says that she wants to leave again. She is hurt when Fran tells her to stay in the village and that she is no longer her sister and she runs off crying.

Spoilers end here.

Mjrn with Chit.

Mjrn is also involved in the "great cockatrice escape" sidequest. To have Chit return to Giza, the player has to gather Dewdrop Pebbles and give them to Mjrn. Once all of them are gathered, both Mjrn and Chit reveal that Chit had tried to rush out of the Village, hoping to keep the Dewdrop Pebbles from disappearing, only for her to fall out of the tree.

Fortunately, they say, Chit got caught on a branch and was rescued by Wood-Warders. Chit lost her memory because of the fall. Acquiring all of the Dewdrop Pebbles causes Chit to regain her memory, prompting her to return to Giza.
