The Last Line of Defense (最終防衛線, Saishū Bōeisen?) is the Code Crimson mission of Chapter 6 in Final Fantasy Type-0 and replaces The Clash on Big Bridge if chosen. The mission takes place on Tem. XVII, its initial mission level is 43 and allows 14 participants, although Machina cannot join, leaving only 13 cadets to fill the possible 14 places.
Briefing[edit | edit source]
Imperial forces have breached dominion lines and are closing in upon the site of Lady Caetuna's summoning. With a good number of its troops already engaging the enemy at Big Bridge, Rubrum struggles to defend against this new assault. Central Command deploys Class Zero to the dominion's last line of defense to prevent the empire from breaking through.

Strategy[edit | edit source]
It can be a good idea to take a ranged cadet ( King, Cater, Trey or Ace) as when asked to defend the Dominion soldiers you can end up stood behind a fence with enemies at the other side. Another good strategy is to equip a melee cadet with a ranged ability in case the above scenario occurs. There is no way to speed through the mission but you can give yourself more time to look around for items if you use a fast moving cadet (Cater with accelerate).
Rubicus[edit | edit source]
- Tem. XVII – The Last Line of Defense
Now that the imperial army had broken through the dominion's front lines, the site of the Verboten Eidolon summoning was in grave peril. In hopes of halting the empire from advancing any further, Central Command deployed reinforcements to the dominion's last line of defense.
Unfortunately, these "reinforcements" were a haphazard hodgepodge of whatever forces remained: cadets on standby, surviving legionaries who had retreated from the front lines, and summoners left powerless by the empire's crystal jammer. Central Command dispatched this confused assemblage to defend the site and ensure the success of the grand summoning at all costs.
With no semblance of order, the piecemeal unit suffered immense losses at the hands of the empire not long after joining the fray. Nevertheless, thanks largely in part to the units sent to break through the empire's rear guard, the legions succeeded in halting the empire's advance and leading the dominion to victory.
